First: Some background
Over the summer, I ran a moderately successful wormhole corporation, but real life got in the way for myself and many of my members and I was forced to scrap the project. But, during that time, as I was recruiting I was approached by Exookiz, a fellow wormhole dweller. He was looking for corporations to help build a light-rp alliance based on the lore of the wormholes. After much discussion and the recruitment of several more coporations, we opened the Revival of the Talocan Empire alliance.
Back to the present:
So, when I decided I wanted to get back into wormholes, I knew exactly who I wanted to approach to get some alliance support and guidance. When talking with Exo last night, he had a great idea that I’m fully supporting and going to be implementing. He had a problem. Over the last several months, his alliance had grown and had many large, very experienced wormhole dwellers – many of them living in C5/6 wormholes. He and his corporations also faced a high demand for positions within their corps from prospective employees. But, with such high numbers, it was difficult for the CEO’s and directors to make sure everyone was pulling their weight, teaching new players, and plain just trusting a high volume of new recruits with their POS’s. So, Exo and I decided that The Kairos Syndicate would serve as a training ground or academy for aspiring wormhole explorers. We will teach both new and old players the ins and outs of wormholes and get them acclimated to the wormhole life. This way, we can decide who deserves to go on to the more lucrative C5/6 wormholes and who doesn’t. Also, for people never before living the wormhole life, it will give them a chance to find out if it’s really the life they want to live. I also plan on, through this training academy, to still do T3 production. It won’t be nearly as efficient as a dedicated wormhole production corp, but I feel it’s worth covering.
A few points about the roles and requirements:
-No SP requirements but must be out of trial.
-There will be a tuition. For 2.5mil SP and below it is 2.5mil per month. For 2.5mil SP and greater, it’s 5mil per month.
-I plan on holding special “full-tuition scholarship” competitions and giveaways.
-Tuition fees will be to help fund community ships and modules as well as other projects.
-We will be living in a C2 or C3 wormhole. (Still to be decided)
-There will be 5 roles. Admiral (1), Vice-Admiral (2), Commander (6), Lieutenant, and Ensign.
-To equate these roles to schools/universities:
- Admiral=President
- Vice-Admiral = Deans
- Commander = Teacher
- Lieutenant = Graduate student
- Ensign = Undergraduate student
-Successful graduates will be approached by CEO’s/Directors/Recruiters of the various corps within the alliance.
-We will cover (courses):
- SCANNING, SCANNING, SCANNING
- D-SCAN
- Running combat sites
- Operating WH mining operations
- Gas Harvesting
- Why we do the above three
- Production
- PvP
- Collapsing unwanted WH’s successfully
- Identifying effects of a WH
That’s the current plan and there’s bound to be plenty more information and ideas to come. So, if you’re looking to get into wormholes, but put off by the difficulty of higher class wormholes and want to learn the basics, first convo me or send me an evemail or post here.
I also need 2 Vice-Admirals and 6 Commanders. Most preferably people with some experience in wormholes. I’d also like to split these into two groups consisting of 1 Vice-Admiral and 3 Commanders. Ideally, there would be one group for US time zone and one for EU time zone. I’m also debating about making it 3 Vice-Admirals so there are 2 in EU since I’m primarily US timezone. So, if you want to help teach people the ins and outs of wormholes, convo me, send me an evemail, post here, I don’t care, just get in touch.
Questions for the community: Has this been done? If so by who and did they have success? Do you think it’s a good idea? Comments/Suggestions?

An excellent idea. I’m sure it’ll be a success and big help to those considering W space. I my self had considered going to W space but thought I’d try pvp first. RL has a way of ones best laid plans though. Hopefully I’ll get more time to log in soon though.
